Red tea detox – cleansing your body is of the essence these days
Red tea detox is a thousand-year-old remedy with slimming properties, making it the preferred tool for many people to get rid of some extra pounds.
Three cups of red tea can change your metabolism forever. Let me explain to you and take you on a discovery on how to make a red tea detox and enjoy all its health benefits. I’ll add my own experiences using red tea, along with those of my mom (she was my “laboratory rat”, but she thanked me later).
The true nature, origin and flavor of red tea
Often times they refer to red tea as Rooibos tea because of its reddish and glossy leaf. In fact, Rooibos isn’t tea altogether. Actually, it isn’t even related to the Camellia Sinesis, the tea plant but they obtain it from a small, South African shrub. This bush only blossoms in the Cedar mountains of the South African province of the Western Cape.
Rooibos, however, is great for a red tea diet, as it contains numerous minerals: Magnesium, calcium and zinc, and thus it is extremely healthy for you. In addition, it’s also getting rid of the accumulated poisons from within your body’s system. This “fake” red tea has a gentle, sweet to earthy flavor and is easy to enjoy.
Drinking tea satiates for a little while, burns fat, promotes digestion and also provides healthy nutrients. It is a cozy habit and lifts the mood.
If you’re struggling with unwanted body fat, then adding red tea to your diet is sensible and healthy for a variety of reasons. Unsweetened tea, or tea sweetened with Stevia, has no calories.
You will have a less prominent hunger sensation, and the temptation for snacking drops, too. Furthermore, red tea has a great amount of detoxifying, metabolism-stimulating, digestive, fat-burning and/or appetite-suppressing effects.

All these toxins trigger cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, autism, obesity, allergies and even Alzheimer’s. Your body is overwhelmed with the overload on poison, and your immune system begins to weaken.
This is why a gentle but thorough detox is so important, as it offers your body the time to slow down and regenerate. The red tea detox has helped, both my mom and I, to fight off inflammation, exhilarate our metabolism and immunity, and it supported the internal waste deposition.
Why Red Tea instead of Green Tea?
Green tea has long been acknowledged for its health and wellness benefits, including weight loss assistance. The evidence is irrefutable. But are we overlooking something better? It is true that green tea contains powerful antioxidants. These components contribute to minimizing health risks such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Because of my own weight issue in the past and the loss of many beloved people due to obesity, I’ve made it my primary goal to share practical tips, tricks, recipes and supplements for those pursuing optimal health. In upholding my obligation to transparency, I am about to reveal how green tea, although beneficial, is gradually losing value in the light of its delicious rival – rooibos.
Rooibos, also known as red tea, is equally high in antioxidants but is sourced from different substances to that of green tea. The antioxidants contained in rooibos – Aspalathin and Nothofagin – are comparatively rare, and help to regulate blood sugar, reduce excessive fat production, lessen stress, and inhibit metabolic disorders. After the results of recent studies, alongside my own findings and experiences related to the major players in sustainable weight loss, I consider red tea an essential.
A primary goal was always to harness the incredible benefits of organic rooibos whilst combining the ingredient with a number of other, equally valuable elements.
Rooibos means red bush. The plant is readily available, with leaves that turn red upon fermentation.
With so much potential to assist with our health and wellness journey, I considered it wrong to ignore the strength of the plant. Unlike green tea, red tea does not contain caffeine, and therefore drinking the blend at night won’t leave you restless.

The benefits of red tea are double fermentation, which distinguishes it from other teas. Improving digestion and lowering the level of bad cholesterol in the blood are some of the reasons why people love this infusion.
If you just want to know how to lose weight with red tea, then it’s time to learn that this drink speeds up the metabolism of your liver and helps it to burn more fats, thus it acts purifying and making drinking red tea a gentle and safe way to cleanse your entire organism.
A routine is necessary to lose weight with red tea. It is ideal to drink three cups of infusion distributed during the day and best after meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner; since its habitual consumption helps to improve the urine flow and the intestinal function.
How to Prepare your Healthy Drink?
The preparation of red tea is very simple. You can buy the infusion in bags or granulated. If you choose the first one, simply add a bag to a cup of boiling water and wait five to ten minutes.
If you prefer the granulated tea, add a spoon to a cup of boiling water and wait for the same amount of time. In both cases, you may add your preferred sweetener to enhance the taste.
Enhanced and Delicious Variations of Red Tea
If you want to increase the effect of red tea and get better results, add the juice of half a lemon to your infusion. This speeds up weight loss thanks to the antioxidant and alkaline properties of these citrus fruits.
You can also add a spoonful of mint and leave the infusion for 10 minutes if you want to improve your digestive problems.
I, personally, have been boosting the cleansing benefits of my red tea beverage by adding a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar; it works like a charm. One advice though: If you decide to try this alternative, make sure to only drink it twice a day as it may have laxative effects when enjoyed more often.
Cherish Your Heart from the Inside Out
Several studies have suggested that another benefit of detoxification with red tea is that it’s great for lowering triglyceride and cholesterol levels. This property is due to a chemical compound in red tea called Lovastatin, which is responsible for this effect.
In this sense, taking two to three cups of red tea daily for about three or four weeks may be great to keep your blood pressure stable; thus you lower the risk of vascular disease.
So, after I read about this study, I asked my mom if she’d like to participate in my trial study before I’d write this article. She agreed and did not only lose the couple of extra pounds she was so complaining about, but her cholesterol level stabilized, indeed.
What’s more, her sugar level remained in the normal range once she added the red tea to her diet. After suffering for many years from a tendency towards low blood glucose, thus an increased risk of Hypoglycemia, she was symptom-free.
Although red tea does not contain caffeine, it is true that it is stimulating and causes blood to flow properly to the brain without accelerating the heart rate.
It is therefore advisable to increase and maintain the concentration.
For those of you who suffer from anxiety and panic disorder, it is safe to enjoy red tea as well. It will not cause your heart rate to increase, nor will it trigger any other panic-attack symptoms.
I used to suffer from panic disorder myself, so I guarantee you that it is completely safe to consume. As with many other remedies, drinking red tea is not recommended for pregnant and nursing women.
Red Tea is also a Fountain of Youth
Getting back to probably one of the biggest benefits of red tea is that it is a powerful antioxidant that promotes cell renewal and prevents oxidation, which can turn it from healthy cells into cancerous cells. Another thing I’d like to tell you about drinking red tea is that it did lead to positive results in my skin texture.
After about two and a half weeks into the tea routine, I began to receive compliments regarding the appearance of my skin. Fact is that it truly became more subtle, radiant and even firmer.
I also noticed reduced breakouts, so I was overall pleased. These skin benefits are most certainly attributed to the high antioxidant levels within the red tea.
Results and last Thoughts regarding Red Tea
My mom and I just finished our red tea purifying challenge. It was much easier and more pleasant than we had it imagined to be. I have to add that my mom is 75-years-old, and for her age, she still achieved many visible and lasting benefits.
We both feel and look lighter, are more energized and my skin is glowing and definitely more hydrated than before. Of course, drinking red tea alone will NOT cause you to miraculously drop pounds, but combined with a reasonable and healthy diet you’ll surely reap marvelous results.

Back to our topic. What I like the most about the red tea is, that it keeps me full much longer than green tea did. The natural mineral and vitamin content also reassured me that I will not lack any nutrients when skipping a meal.
Please, keep in mind to drink more water during this period of time. Your body requires extra fluid during the detox program. I’m planning on doing this red tea detox every 6 months from now on.
It’s been a safe, successful and quite enjoyable experience, which I can only recommend to all who wish to cleanse their bodies, lose a few stubborn pounds and enhance their overall complexion in a gentle and natural manner.
