This is how you can get rid of belly fat if you make a commitment!
Many people have the burning desire to get rid of belly fat. Losing weight effectively and rapidly sounds overall great. However, many particularly focus on reducing the fat percentage around their waists.
What is the reason for this? Excess pounds usually accumulate there first.
This can become dangerous as this includes adipose fat tissue, which begins to surround the inner organs, such as the liver, and, therefore, causes severe health problems.
Thus, we should first and foremost combat unessential fat deposits around the stomach area for aesthetic and/or health reasons.
Is it possible to lose belly fat?
To be quite frank – Yes, it is possible to lose fat specifically on the stomach. However, this goal is very flexible and this topic has various meanings for different people.
Some people are a little chubby and want to lose body fat altogether. Others, again, are avid fitness lovers who strive to reach their ideal weight and lean body fat percentage.
Some ladies just gave birth (congratulations) and are desperately finding a way to lose the post-baby fat. And last but not least, there are those of us who are immensely bothered by their muffin tops and want to reduce them as much as possible.
It’s really not important what exactly brought you here – by the way, thank you for stopping by 🙂 The fact is that the reason is the same. You are all looking forward to lose belly fat, and I’ll explain to you how it works.
My tips are a mixture of some biochemistry and lots of practical knowledge. Crucial is the correct mixture – a combination of sports, healthy diet and targeted intervention for local fat burning in the stomach region.
Studies have shown that in certain situations, one can burn fat at specific parts of the body. Fasting and consequent exercise play a vital role here, as well.
The best advice for the instant start
I’d like to introduce you to the five best methods to reduce your stomach fat. All these paths have proven themselves, and they are scientifically effective. You are welcome to implement and combine several of them. Using one formula alone is great, two are even better. And three? Magnificent!
How much of it you should implement, I cannot estimate. This is something you must find out for yourself, as everyone has a different body type, metabolism and fitness level. Focus on what you like and suits you most and, most important, what you can and are willing to do for a longer time period.
The best tips are of no use if you cannot put them into action in the long run. No one ever developed a six-pack from one day to the next. Effort and stamina are essential and will be rewarded in the end.
If you begin with your practice, persist and show will power, then you can shape your body the way you would like it to be and in the end take pride in yourself and capabilities.
Shall we get it started?
Intermittent fasting is an extremely effective and healthy way to decrease stubborn stomach fat. Following this, you will integrate fasting processes into your daily life. The time intervals range from anywhere in between 12 to 16 hours.
During this time of food abstinence, specific processes take place within the body. This boosts the fat-burning enormously and results in hormonal changes.
To use these chemical actions to your advantage, I recommend you to keep a daily fasting window of 16 to 18 hours. This means that you have a time frame of six to eight hours to eat; nothing else for the rest of the day.
Extremely popular and feasible: Leave out breakfast and make lunch your first meal. If you had dinner between 6 pm and 8 pm and did not eat lunch until around noon, then you automatically get a fasting window of 16 to 18 hours.
Intermittent fasting benefits: It greatly increases fat burning, releases growth hormone (hGH), tummy fat reserves are tapped into, and fasting strengthens your mitochondria, as well.
The conversion can be tough for some people. However, after a few days of getting used to, most dieters follow along very well. In addition, you don’t need to make a drastic change overnight. Increase the timespan every day a little more.
For example, have breakfast at 7 am on the first day. The following morning at 8 am, then at 9 am. After that, perhaps just a snack at 10 am.
And voila…eventually, you will not crave breakfast anymore, and you automatically arrived at lunchtime – without breakfast.
The fat-burning combination in the morning
Fasting plus drinking coffee, and a cold shower
This is one of the most effective combinations of fat burning. You start the day with a morning sport such as a brisk walk or a 30-40-minute jogging session. Everything on an empty stomach, except for one or two glasses of water, of course.
After the workout, you drink a large cup of black coffee, recover from the sport and prepare yourself mentally for the next day. In the longer term, this can be part of a healthy morning routine.
After sports and coffee, the shower follows with a cold finish. First, shower at normal temperature and finally end your session with 3 to 5 minutes of as cold water.
Make sure to endure the water as cold as possible. This routine boosts the metabolism as your body uses energy to get the ideal body temperature back into balance.
The combination of sport on an empty stomach, the coffee and the cold shower has proven in practice as one of the most effective combinations in terms of fat burning.
If you are athletic and up to it, you can repeat this morning procedure several times a week.
Sober whole body workout
No endurance sports, but also practiced sober: A morning strength training that focuses, among other things, on the stomach.
If your sugar reserves are empty, which it is in a state of sobriety, then the sport has the following effect: The involved muscles feel that they have no more sugar reserves and that the blood sugar level is relatively low.
Thus, they produce a lot of the messenger Interleukin-6, which acts locally on the muscles and on the surrounding fatty tissue. There, it releases fat to energize the muscles.
Fasting burns fat right there where the muscles are stressed. Good strength training, including the abdomen, actually burns fat on the stomach on an empty stomach.
Provided it is a good total body workout or at least a strength training that targets the abdominal muscles.
Try it and tell me about your results. I’m curious!
Ice bathing – Chill out and hang in there!
Taking a cold shower is already tough for most, but the following is still a bit more intense: a cold bath. It looks like this. Let your bathtub fill with cold water and then soak in it for about 10-15 minutes.
Due to the intense cold, the body burns a lot of fat, especially in the abdominal region and in the thighs. Because at these points the body requires most heat to supply the important organs.
Attention: Press yourself slowly to the ice bath. Start with cold showers and slowly increase in terms of the degree of cold. The same applies to the temperature of the ice baths.
It’s not a problem at all. On the contrary – even very healthy. But, please, do not expose your body overnight to an icy cold tub; Give him some time to get used to it. Slow is the keyword!
The diet must be right, too!
You can try as hard as you like, but if your diet is still unhealthy, then your efforts will not bear fruit. Sport and nutrition should always go hand in hand, no matter what goals you are pursuing. I did not go into nutrition directly in this article, but rather on the other practical tips that have to do with cold and sport.
I assume that you are eating reasonably healthy and high in protein if you want to get rid of belly fat?
Still, I’ll give you some of my most important and quickest healthy eating tips to help you achieve that goal:
1- Avoid trans fat from fried foods, fast food, margarine and industrial edible oils.
2- Avoid industrial sugar. Fruits and berries are the sweets of Mother Nature, so substitute them for the chemical stuff.
3- If possible, reduce your alcohol consumption to the weekend and to a reasonable level.
4- Prefer natural and unprocessed foods to processed foods. Try to prepare your own dishes.
5- Fruits and vegetables are the most important component of a meal, followed by a healthy source of protein, healthy fats, and a well digestible and high-fiber-carbohydrate source.
6- Make sure your protein intake is high enough to contain 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day to boost your metabolism and supply your muscles.
The two diets that I warmly recommend to you and that have proven themselves over the years are the Flexitarian and clean eating.
Admittedly, the title of this article looks very sensational. But that’s intentional: most people are looking for shortcuts in life to avoid discipline, effort, and perseverance.
The quickest way to get rid of belly fat is probably liposuction. For financial and health reasons, I would never recommend this, but rather insist on the sustainable and healthy solution.
Because biochemistry and practice show that getting rid of belly fat in a healthy way is possible. With healthy nutrition, sports, a little fasting and a few cold showers/baths you can achieve just that.
