What Do You Have to Consider when Going on a Boiled Egg Diet?
If you wish to try the new eat boiled egg for diet trend, you should consider a lot. First of all, I want to clarify that it should not be just eggs that you will consume. Otherwise, you can develop symptoms of deficiency and damage to your health rather quickly!
The so-called mono diets, which rely only on one food source, are very worrisome.
Yes, they do melt the pounds away at first, but once you return to your original diet, the pounds will come back just the same in no time – the infamous Yo-Yo effect.
This is, of course, quite frustrating and makes it all the more important to adapt the egg diet to your individual needs.
A Good Quality of Eggs is Essential
What many do not pay attention to is the health and nutrition of the chickens that supply the eggs. It is a vital factor, however, and you must check carefully which eggs you will be consuming.
Always try to get your eggs from free-range chicken. They definitely are care-free and happier, thus way healthier, as well.

I recommend that you purchase your eggs from an organic farmer if possible. White eggs with light yellow egg yolks are the unhealthiest eggs.
A natural egg from a free-range chicken usually has a brown peel and an orange egg yolk. This orange egg yolk contains a lot of beta carotene, essential vitamins and other good nutrients.
How Does the Boiled Egg Diet Actually Work?
It is based on a high-protein diet. With good reason, the body needs a lot of energy to convert protein into the energy supplier glucose. And the amount of protein prevents the muscle mass from being broken down during diets.
The diet itself follows the low carb principle. Little carbohydrates are consumed, but a lot of protein instead. Thus, the body will hardly burn sugar anymore and goes directly to the fat reserves.
The diet was made famous by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She wanted to obtain the perfect figure before her first election victory. And so she set herself the goal of losing almost 5 pounds in two weeks.
Which Foods are Allowed with an Egg Diet?
Five or six hard-boiled eggs are on the menu every day. In addition, you can optionally supplement your diet with the following foods:
Lean meat and lean fish
Salad, tomatoes and vegetables
Fruit, preferably citrus fruits such as grapefruit and oranges
Water, tea (unsweetened, preferably herbal or fruit tea)
Coffee (black, unsweetened)
On the other hand, the following foods are prohibited:
⁃ Visible fats (such as margarine, oil, lard and butter)
⁃ Carbohydrate-rich foods (e.g. bread, rice, potatoes)

How Healthy is this New Boiled Egg For Diet Trend?
As you may have noticed, this is a classic crash diet. It’s only for a limited time! Eggs are very nourishing food supplies and contain many nurturing ingredients.
For example, there are a lot of vitamins A, B and E present within an egg. Thus, you can meet a large part of your daily requirements of these micronutrients (except vitamin C). However, this diet plan is rather monotonous, and some folks will desire more variety.
What are the overall Experiences with this Diet?
As is so often the case, these opinions are quite different. For example, a number of people who have tried the eggs diet report that they feel dizzy more often. In addition, the widespread absence of carbohydrates often led to craving attacks.
Hence, the result was that the frustration was all the greater afterward! Furthermore, the diet was often led to one-sidedness.
And What is the Opinion of the Experts?
Even the experts do not see this diet as completely uncritical. Above all, they criticize the one-sidedness of this nutrition program. They also warn about severe deficiency symptoms if it is designed for a longer period of time.
So, please do talk to your doctor in advance to see if this is a concern in your case, or not. Also, be aware that this diet is a bit inflexible and cumbersome.

What is a Good Egg Diet Recipe Example?
Of course, I want to provide you with some inspiration here – because only hard-boiled eggs are a little boring. So, there you go and I hope you’ll enjoy:
Potatoes and Spinach with a Carrot Egg
Ingredients
160 g Potatoes, peeled
100 g Carrots
100 g Leaf spinach (frozen)
2 Eggs
A little milk
1 tbsp Rapeseed oil
Salt and pepper
Nutmeg
Chili flakes
Preparation
Cut the potatoes into small pieces, cook them in a saucepan with salted water. Finely rasp the carrots, set aside. Defrost the spinach (in a microwave).
Drain the potato water, add butter and stomp. Stir in the spinach, season with pepper, salt and nutmeg. Keep warm in the pot over the smallest heat.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the rasped carrot tubes while constantly stirring and turning them. Whisk the eggs with the milk in a bowl. Season with pepper, chili flakes and salt. Pour over the carrots, then leave it briefly for the mass to thicken. Mix evenly and immediately serve with the spinach stew.
This tastes great whether you’re on an egg diet, or not. It’s a quick, savory and a nurturing recipe for your every day’s lifestyle, plus it’s great for your figure, as well.
What is my Personal Egg Diet Conclusion?
As already mentioned above, it is absolutely necessary to focus on a sustainable diet change if you wish to achieve long-term success!
So, eating a boiled egg for diet does a lot of things correct in the beginning. However, there is always the danger of the feared Yo-Yo Effect. And, of course, there is also the chance that you’re getting literally fed up with eating all of those eggs and falling back into old patterns, again.

Little secret!
Of course, I have tried the boiled egg diet, and I want to let you in on a secret. The egg diet works if you don’t stick to the same boring “boiled egg for diet” routine. You see, I made eggs sunny side up, baked and scrambled with a huge variety of veggies. It never got boring and was always nutritious.
By the way, you don’t need to cut out eating scrambled or sunny side up eggs at all. Yes, leave out the cooking oil by simply substituting it with two tablespoons of sparkling mineral water. You’ll create the best, most fluffy scrambled eggs without any added fat.
Trust me on this, I’ve learned a few tricks from my French boss years back when I was working at a French Bistro. Hey, and who knows better about the cuisine than a French chef, right?
This way, I put lots of diversity into my 28-day egg diet, plus I lost a few pounds, too.
