Apple cider vinegar has become a very popular supplement within the health and nutrition scene, and it is also labeled as a fountain of youth.
Although it has been utilized for many decades around the entire world, most people are unaware of the benefits that come with daily consumption of apple cider vinegar (ACV). The organic apple cider vinegar, in its pure form and not heated, thus naturally cloudy, does alkalize an acidic pH level and detoxify your body.
Already 2 Tsp of apple cider vinegar per day is sufficient for the prevention of illnesses. I’d like to point you in the right direction, so you can enjoy a long, healthy and happy life. Although the following benefits to drinking apple cider vinegar are by far not all, they are ten of the most important ones.
If you’re eating and drinking acidifying foods and beverages, such as coffee, red wine, cheese, cereals and certain types of meat regularly, then your body’s acidity level will rise. This, in context, causes a shift in the pH of the acidic area, especially in times when you are enduring lots of stress.
Whenever that happens, you’ll notice signs. Your skin will start to look dry and waxy, because your body no longer has alkaline reserves.
For that reason, your body will have to work harder in order to bring back the balance to the pH level. Is your hyperacidity too severe, your organs may become more vulnerable, thus more prone to inflammatory diseases.
It’s easily possible that, under such circumstances, you may begin to suffer from weight issues (obesity), problems with your kidneys or bladder diseases, diabetes as well as even cancer.
Apple cider vinegar is a mild acid by nature. It is, therefore, extremely surprising for many to learn that when we eat or drink it, it is actually able to shift an acidic pH in the body to a more alkaline one. ACV contains potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium. These, form after ingestion the substances which are in charge of the alkalinization of all acidic liquids.
Whenever your body is in an alkaline state, your pH level is perfectly balanced., and exactly that’s the key to a well-nourished body and a healthy lifestyle.
Apple Cider Vinegar Helps with the following Symptoms:
Heartburn and Reflux
Contrary to the prevailing opinion, heartburn and reflux do not occur because of too much stomach acid within your intestine, but there is usually too little stomach acid in the stomach.
Thus, your stomach becomes colonized by bacteria, the gastric entrance cannot close properly and, therefore, gastric contents may run back freely into the esophagus.
This is where apple cider vinegar comes in. It contains antibiotic properties. Drink one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar dissolved in water to raise your stomach acid to a healthy level.
Promotes Healthy Blood Lipids
A study with animals showed that the consumption of apple cider vinegar led to an improved lipid profile. There was a significant decrease in LDL and triglyceride levels and a significant increase in HDL (number 2, which is the good cholesterol). These are exactly the changes that your doctor wants to see in your fat levels.
Supports Healthy Blood Glucose Levels
In the same study, a decrease in the long-term blood sugar level was noted in diabetic rats consuming apple cider vinegar. In fact, vinegar prevents some of the ingested starch (carbohydrate) from being metabolized, so there is no increase in the blood sugar level possible.

Loss in Weight
Even when losing weight, apple cider vinegar can help. The acetic acid suppresses your appetite, improves your metabolism and reduces the storage of water in tissues. This leads, as you can already imagine, cumulatively to weight loss.
A 2014 study found that apple cider vinegar is protective against oxidative stress on erythrocytes (red blood cells) and also on kidney and liver cells. Apple cider vinegar is believed to inhibit lipid peroxidation.
Free radicals and highly reactive oxygen species (ROS) are dangerous, as they take away the lipid’s electrons from within the cell membranes. This causes peroxidation and permanent cell damage. As a result, membranes become permeable and membrane-bound enzyme systems can no longer function properly.
Improved Nutrient Absorption
The acetic acid of apple cider vinegar can improve the absorption of important minerals from your diet.
Help with Digestive Problems
In case of an upset stomach, it may help to drink 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar dissolved in water. If you have diarrhea caused by bacteria, then apple cider vinegar can be helpful because it has antibacterial properties. The pectin contained in the vinegar can even relieve intestinal cramps.
Help with Sore Throat
As soon as you feel a slight tingling in your throat, you should gargle with apple cider vinegar to kill the bacteria. As it turns out, most bacteria cannot survive in the acidic environment that the vinegar causes. So, simply mix apple cider vinegar and water in a 1: 1 ratio and gargle every hour for relief.
Mucosal Decongestant Effect
If you have a cold and have a stuffy nose, try apple cider vinegar. The potassium in it liquefies the mucus. The acetic acid, furthermore, prevents bacterial growth, which could otherwise lead to mucous membrane swelling and a stuffy nose. Drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to clear your poor sinuses.
Exercise and extreme stress can cause lactate accumulation in the body, resulting in tiredness. Interestingly, the amino acids contained in apple cider vinegar act as an antidote.
Potassium and enzymes of vinegar can also alleviate fatigue. The next time you’re done and exhausted, drink a glass of water or vegetable juice with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to rekindle your spirits.
